Here are some tips to help protect your garden in the summer heat.<\/p><h2><strong>Why are extreme heat waves dangerous for Budapest gardens?<\/strong><\/h2><ul><li><p>Soil and plant water loss: in urban environments, concrete and asphalt accelerate evaporation, and soil moisture is rapidly lost.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Irrigation restrictions: water-saving gardening is particularly important in times of drought.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Pest and disease outbreaks: aphids, mites and fungal diseases spread rapidly in the prolonged heat.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Useful gardening methods during extreme heatwaves<\/strong><\/h2><h3><strong>1.
